A GREAT INNINGS AND NOT OUT
Roy’s Dad & Mom celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on the 6th March 2008. What an awesome dinner and occasion hosted by their Children at Joy’s beautiful home in Nahoon. The family clubbed in together and gave them a holiday to Dubai as a gift. Jacqui Oosthuizen (Deon’s youngest daughter) who at that time lived there with her husband Aaldert and their son Kyle whom dad & mom had never seen. Now two years later, they are still going strong and just celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary.
SAD NEWS
Our brother-in-law, Rowan Anderson passed away on Sunday 8th July 2008 after a botched up routine operation. He was just 43 and left his wife, Karen (Mandy’s sister) and daughter Robyn behind. Roy had the privilege of conducting the service in Pretoria.
A strange thing happened the day after Rowan’s death. Karen received an MMS with a picture of Rowan with his thumb up, almost to say, “Hey, don’t worry, I’m OK!” The strange thing about this is that the message was sent from Rowan’s phone which was lying in his study, the day after he died. There was no one at home at the time. What do you think of that? Your comments are welcome.
